One of the biggest challenges that we women face is to find balance between the many roles that we have to play, whilst keeping joy in the heart in the fulfillment of each of them.
The road that we travel towards finding this balance is winding and tough, but it offers us moments of contemplation presenting splendid landscapes throughout the way.
The question that we have to ask is this:
- Have we contemplated splendid landscapes during our journey?
There is a big secret to contemplating the splendor of the woods, the miracle of the plantations that provide food, the color of the flowers, the smell of their scent.
To see the melancholy of a rainy day and the grey of the big skyscrapers of the Great Cities.
This secret is to have good eyes.
“The light of the body is the eye: if therefore thine eye be single, thy whole body shall be full of light. But if thine eye be evil, thy whole body shall be full of darkness. If therefore the light that is in thee be darkness, how great is that darkness!” (Mt 6.22-23)
